Description

Incredible opportunity to hunt private land mule deer in GMU's 70-71-711-72 and 73 in southwestern Colorado! This outfitter leases two ranches and has access to 50,000 acres of private land. Outfitter guides during archery, muzzleloader, or all 4 rifle seasons. This is 2:1 fully guided 4-day hunt. Option to upgrade to a 1:1 hunt for an additional fee. Option for non-hunter/observer for additional charge. This is a draw area. Vouchers available if not drawn.

Bigger bucks in the area. Mature four-point deer are targeted.

Weapons description:

Rifle hunters should be expected to be comfortable shooting long range. 400-yard shots are typical.

Archery hunters should be prepared to shoot out to 70 yards.

Muzzleloader hunters should be prepared to shoot out to 150 yards.

      Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

      Terrain can vary from lowland, flat farm ground to steep, rugged terrain at 11,000 feet elevation. Hunters should be prepared to hike.

      Hunters should fly into Cortez or Durango and rent a car from there. Field transport provided.

      Description

      This unit is located in the southwest corner of Colorado. Early season archery hunts can be warm, later season hunts snow can be present. Good layering system and durable hiking boots are a must. Outfitter provides access to 50,000 acres of prime mule deer habitat. Full gear list provided if requested when booked.
