Embark on a 9-day Shiras moose hunt with and experience a true backcountry adventure through Colorado’s rugged high-country wilderness, spanning GMUs 39, 46, 49, 500, and 501. With access to over 10,000 acres of remote, unfenced terrain and only one bull moose tag issued per unit annually, you’ll enjoy an exclusive fair-chase opportunity during peak rut. Guided 1-on-1 by seasoned, first-aid-certified experts equipped with pack horses and intimate knowledge of the terrain, you’ll track trophy-class bulls in dense timber, willow-filled drainages, and alpine valleys, where paddles stretching 35–50 inches wide. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Description

The outfitter provides a comprehensive hunting experience, offering meals, lodging, and transportation within the hunting area. They supply home-style meals throughout the hunt. Lodging includes well-equipped wall tents with cots and sleeping pads, set up in scenic high-country locations like alpine ridges and Creekside clearings. Transportation within the hunting area is also provided. Hunters are responsible for their personal gear, including weapons, ammunition, clothing, and licenses. Additionally, hunters should bring a day backpack equipped with a survival kit, basic first aid supplies, and adequate water. Detailed gear checklists are available upon booking.
