Description

Our California Bighorn hunts are known to produce some of the best trophy class rams available anywhere. Rams will typically score in the 160”-175” range, with heavy bases. Like all Bighorn species, our rams tend to broom (rub or bust their horn tips) and as such look the part of the classic Bighorn Ram.

Refund Policy:

Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Description

Hunts are conducted out of our comfortable basecamp lodge, right in the heart of prime sheep country. We utilize any method necessary to give you the best chance of successfully harvesting your mature ram; whether using 4×4 vehicle, ATV, on foot, or horseback. Hunts are booked as a ten-day trip. We know that emergencies are unforeseen and can arise while on the hunt of a lifetime, and as such, we will happily work with you and your schedule to make sure you can come back and harvest your ram that same year should something come up to interfere with your hunt. Most of our hunters are finished with a beautiful ram in tow within 3-5 hunting days.

Our basecamp is comfortably able to accommodate up to 4 hunters at a time. The guest cabins are fully insulated and contain air-tight wood burning stoves. Our main Cooking/Dining cabin has hot and cold running water, and full kitchen and bathroom facilities including an indoor toilet and shower with endless hot water on demand. The main cabin has electricity run off of a generator for charging phones and any other electronics a hunter may wish to bring on their adventure. Equipped with a satellite basecamp phone and Wi-Fi reaching out to all the cabins, this truly is a comfortable basecamp of operations to enjoy one’s hunting adventure.

For sheep hunting, this is an easier hunt than most others. Hunter will hunt daily from the base camp lodge unless a spike camp is needed. Outfitter knows good glassing points and once a desired ram is located a stalk will be made.

Description

Outfitter will provide meals, lodging, ATVs, horses, and expert guide service. Hunter is responsible for all hunting gear and equipment. Although you are in California, hunters should prepare for cool mornings and warmer days while glassing for rams. A layering system is recommended, comfortable boots, extra pairs of socks, and a daypack are all daily necessities.
