Description

This unit is a popular destination for trophy mule deer hunters and is located about 25 miles west of the Jicarilla Apache Indian Reservation. It borders Colorado, the Ute Mountain Indian Reservation, the Navajo Nation, and the Southern Ute Indian Reservation. The state also offers tags for hunting elk and antelope. While larger bucks have been taken from this area in the past, antelope, deer, and elk have become more scattered and harder to find. The best hunting opportunities are usually found on private land. Hunters willing to hike long distances through rugged public terrain and glass from a distance still have the chance to harvest mature bucks. Hunter will be applied with the outfitter in the guided draw in units 2A, 2B, 2C, and 7 depending on desired season. This is a 7 day hunt, meals and lodging are NOT included.

If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.
