Description
Picture yourself pursuing deer and/or elk across the timbered ridges, open basins, or sage flats across the forests of New Mexico. The Outfitter offers two types of hunts on public lands. Guide-only hunts, which do not include accommodations and meals, and have a minimum of at least two days of guiding, and Fully Guided hunts with pricing dependent upon how many days of guiding selected. Client may stay at the nearest town hotel near the unit which is being hunted, however motel costs are on the client. Meals are inclusive, but accommodations are not. Or, if wanting to camp on forest, client may bring own camper and a camp can be set up in a suitable area near or on the hunting unit. Client must apply for draw tags for Public Land Deer hunt, but may use outfitter's license number to help in the process of drawing a tag. Application deadline is March 18, 2026. Client chooses length of hunt; 2 days, 5 days, or 7 days. Archery, rifle, & muzzleloader weapons are accommodated, however, Archery deer hunting will only be accommodated if client also holds an archery elk tag, as outfitter's staff may only be guiding elk during this timeframe. Hunts are conducted 1:1 or 2:1 and costs go down upon more clients/guide. This hunt is a challenging and rewarding hunt all at the same time.

Description
The outfitter utilizes good scouting techniques and glassing to find the most mature animals to harvest. When a buck is spotted to try to harvest, the guide can plan the best stalk to get the client into shooting position. Some moderate to heavy hiking will be required. Plan on variable terrain, steep slopes, rocky outcroppings, and timber with open basins. Depending on the time of the year for your hunt, be prepared for bad weather in October-November.

Description
Expect to be hiking into timbered ridges, rocky outcroppings, open basins, and rugged high country. Glassing is a major part of locating and harvesting a mature animal. Be ready to sit for long hours looking to find good bucks and you may even want some kind of pad or chair to use. Have good comfortable boots for the hunt, some moderate-heavy hiking may be required to get into shooting positions. Obviously, weather happens and can change in short time frame, so have multiple layers of technical hunting clothing available. Hunting the western mountains is a treat if you come in shape and ready to hunt.
